1. What cookies and local storage are
A cookie is a small piece of text a website asks your browser to store, often for sessions, preferences, or analytics. Local Storage is another browser mechanism that normally keeps site data until you clear it.
The TKBOX website is a public static site. It does not require sign-in and does not depend on cookies for browsing or downloading.

If local storage is disabled, the website's main content and download link still work. The notice may appear again on a later visit.
3. Release checks and network logs
The website requests the latest Windows release manifest from oss.tkbox.live and uses it to build the installer link. The request may include IP address, request time, browser or device type, referrer, and response status. TKBOX and Alibaba Cloud OSS/CDN infrastructure use this data for delivery, security, and troubleshooting.
These requests do not rely on advertising cookies and are not used by this website for cross-site tracking. If you follow the registration link or another external link, the destination may use cookies under its own policy.
Aggregate server-side traffic comes from trusted ESA/CDN access logs and is not controlled by the browser choice buttons. Operational analytics retain only page paths without query parameters, request time, HTTP status, response bytes, a two-letter country code, and a hashed request ID for deduplication. They do not store IP addresses, User-Agent, cookies, full referrers, accounts, or device identifiers, do not calculate unique visitors, and do not perform cross-device attribution.
4. Local data in the Windows app
The TKBOX Windows app stores sign-in state, stream records, viewer names and avatars, scenes, media, preferences, and logs on the device. This is desktop-app data, not a website cookie. See the Privacy Policy for categories, purposes, and deletion options.
5. How to manage or clear site data
You can change your choice at any time using the buttons above. Choosing “Necessary only” deletes the anonymous visitor, attribution, and session IDs. You can also find tkbox.live in your browser's privacy or site-data settings and delete its data.
6. Scope and limits of anonymous analytics
After permission, we report the page path without query parameters, page language, referrer host, UTM fields, page views, and installer-download clicks. These events do not include a full IP address, full User-Agent, account, live-chat content, screen fingerprint, or payment information. Declining does not affect content, release checks, or downloads.
When Windows download analytics are allowed, the website creates a one-time random attribution token containing no account information. The server retains its hash, anonymous visit and channel context, and seven-day expiry, while the downloaded filename contains the token. The installer temporarily writes it to %APPDATA%\TKBOX\website-attribution.txt. Only if client analytics are also enabled does the app read and delete the file and use the first-start event to associate the channel with the signed-in account, anonymous installation ID, and first live session. If website analytics are declined, the original OSS link is used without a token and the download is unaffected.
